betapharm.de — Website Redesign

A pharmaceutical company website rebuilt from scratch. The old site carried every trapping of institutional healthcare design — cluttered, untrusted, slow. The brief: make it feel like medicine that actually works.

Swiss design as the system, not a style. Grid-first, typographic hierarchy, zero decorative noise. Each component earns its place by function. Radix UI as the accessible primitive layer — the design system built on top of it, not around it.

FinBoy — Personal Finance Dashboard

Personal finance tools show accurate totals and leave behavior unchanged. The decision point — what to do differently next month — has no surface in the UI.

Dashboard-first: transaction ingestion feeds merchant-level breakdowns, recurring pattern analysis, and spending visualizations built for the monthly reset decision, not the annual review.

Next.js · Python · SQLite
Key pattern
Decision surface over summary surface

Die Mit Den Kirschen — Restaurant Site

A Ukrainian restaurant in Berlin with a strong identity and a website that didn't carry it — no clear booking path, no content hierarchy, nothing that communicated what the room is before anyone arrived.

A rebuild starting from a content audit. Three proposal tiers surface the scope trade-offs — from a single-page conversion site to a full booking-integrated system — so the decision stays with the owner, not the brief.

GENAU · Approach
01 · Title

The work is either
good or it doesn't
exist.

GENAU is a micro creative agency. No juniors, no inflated teams, no work that looks impressive but delivers poorly.

The German word genau means precisely — exactly right, neither more nor less. That's the only brief we accept.

02 · Problem

Most creative work
fails before it
begins.

The bloat trap Large agencies sell excess. Layers of account managers, strategy decks — most of it justifies the invoice, not the outcome. You pay for process. You get a PDF.
The shortcut trap Freelancers go the other way: fast, cheap, forgettable. Work that exists but doesn't hold.
The gap Founders who want serious creative work — without the overhead, without the mediocrity — have nowhere to go.
03 · Solution

"Good" is not
a nice-to-have.
It's the baseline.

At GENAU, every piece of work is either bare minimum but good, or maximum and good. Anything else gets refused.

Bare minimumNo feature earns its place unless it's necessary. We do less, better.
ModularOne component, one responsibility. No tangled systems.
Native firstCSS over libraries, custom properties over frameworks, precision over dependencies.
When in doubtDo less.
04 · Why Now

Execution is
commoditised.
Taste is the moat.

AI tools can generate code, copy, and layouts. They cannot make the decision about which line to cut, which word to keep, or why the obvious answer is wrong.

That's what a micro agency sells now — not production, but judgement.

05 · Market

Founders who
feel bad design
before they name it.

Solo founders and operators who cannot help doing it slightly better. Who would rather ship one right thing than ten adequate ones. Who already know what's wrong — they just need someone who agrees and can fix it.

06 · Product

Three things.
Done properly.

01 · IdentityWordmark, visual system, colour and type. Built to last, not to trend.
02 · WebFast, minimal, precise. Static or Astro-powered. No bloat, no site that breaks the moment you touch it.
03 · DirectionFor founders who need an external eye — on positioning, visual output, or a specific deliverable that has to be exactly right.
07 · Business Model

No surprises.
No heroics.

Project-basedFixed scope. Fixed fee. No retainers without a defined deliverable.
Full ownershipYou get the files, the code, the documentation. Not a dependency on us.
One roundStructured feedback. No endless revision cycles — because the brief was right the first time.
08 · Traction

Early. Honest.
Zero padding.

genau.agencyVariable-font wordmark with 8-palette theme system. The brand proving itself.
Restaurant POSRole-based UX system. Four roles, four information architectures, one data model.
Pitch deckBerlin hiring consultant. Data-driven, pure HTML/CSS, animated.
09 · Team

One principal.
One standard.
No surprises.

By Mÿr. Berlin. One person responsible for every decision — no juniors delivering your brief, no subcontracting without disclosure.

Small is not a limitation. Small is the position.

10 · Ask

One brief.
One team.
One standard.

If the brief is right, we move quickly.
